Led by Governor Francis Thuita Kimemia and several leaders, the move will slowly kill the milk production industries that have plunged up due to the high production of milk from the area. Currently, Nyandarua county is one of the giant producers of milk in the county, and it is well known all over Africa.  Instead of Nyandarua county selling fully processed milk like Makueni County that has hit the headlines for having fully processed agri-products like the mango juice and milk, Nyandarua county will be reduced into consumer counties like Nairobi and other counties that have minimal or zero production of milk.
